Servings 6 / Prep Time 15 minutes / Total Time 35 minutes
Burger night has become a favorite for me lately, especially since I have come up with this amazing Elk Burger recipe. This is pretty simple and can be modified to meet your taste buds expectations.
What you need
1 Pound Ground Elk
3 Tbsp Sriracha sauce
1 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Pepper
2 Tbsp Quaker Oats
1/2 Tsp Thyme
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Cup Finely Diced Onion
Sliced cheese of your choice
- Blend all ingredients until mixed together.
- Divide into patties using your hands to flatten them evenly.
- In a frying pan heat about 1/4 inch of olive oil at medium-high heat. ( you can use vegetable oil or canola oil as well) This is very important as Elk meat is lean and will stick to the pan. You can use cooking spray if you prefer. Cook as you would a regular burger until well done.
Top with Sriracha Sauce, Horseradish Sauce ( If you like it hot!) Sliced Onions and Peppers, Fried Onions or Fried Wonton Strips.
