“Don’t Make a Mountain Out of a Molehill” 5 Things Everyone Should do Daily

In Everything But The Kitchen Sink, Lifestyleby Amelia Hyde

We have all heard the term “Don’t make a mountain out of a molehill”  Something my Mom has said to me at least a hundred times.    This does not mean your problems are not big, or your feelings are not valid.  Even If our issues are mountains in height,  We still don’t have to freak out over everything. Right?

Ha, easier said than done.

I have had some pretty rough struggles the past several years.  Every time one thing gets better, I fall behind on something else.  Trying to catch up gets to be utterly ridiculous, and I have my occasional meltdowns. (more often than I would like to admit)

I tend to “future trip” or rush through my day trying to get to the next day just to do it again.

We all do this. (Don’t lie)

My health has not been my friend.  I had a back surgery last year, that I thought would fix my problems. Almost a year later  I had my second surgery, after the metal got infected, which infected almost every organ in my body. I almost died. I had sepsis and had to stay in a long-term facility in Seattle.

Total amount of time in the hospital? 18 weeks since 2015

8 weeks in 2018

6 weeks in 2017

3 weeks in 2015

Hey, I know that a lot of people have had way worse health problems, and I am thankful for where I am at.

So I am currently looking for a job, unemployed and loving my website. In fact, I think writing keeps me in one piece. ( Hoping to make a living at it someday soon)

I have kids that live in another state, and being broke and not able to visit kills me most days.  Thank goodness for Facebook Messenger.

There’s a tiny fraction of my stress.  I’m happy though. I might cry sometimes. But I think that is normal.

5 Things Everyone Should Do Daily

1. Laugh at least 10x a day
2. Hug someone at least 2x a day.
3. Sing in the shower, every day
4. Get some kind of excercise.

(I have been known to do lunges and squats standing in line at the store if my day is full.. Really)

5. Enjoy your daily routine, including chores, and work

Really it helps. I’m kind of a weirdo.   Truth is, I have dishes because I have a family.  I have a living room to clean, which reminds me how nice it is that I am not alone.  I’m almost out of gas (which sucks)that reminds me my daughter has her permit.

Yea and I can think about all the stuff I don’t have or cry sometimes cause I can’t keep up .. Or obsess over posting this article that is only but a rant that I spit out in less than 10 minutes.  Eh, who am I kidding,  this is pretty good for an unplanned online rant eh?

Hey friends if you read this whole thing, please comment below with some fun ideas to add to my 4 that I listed.  I would love to hear them!
